Each brings something different: retaining and engineering on the slopes, drainage on the flats, and fixings that can handle salt air near the water. In Queensland a pool needs building approval and a compliant safety barrier, wherever you are. Approval runs through a private building certifier, and we organise it, along with engineering and final certification, as part of the job.
Usually, yes. Sloping blocks are common in the foothill suburbs. A reinforced concrete pool is engineered to the slope and soil, and we build the retaining, stairs and levels around it in the same job.
Near the water we plan for salt air and ground conditions from the start, choosing fencing hardware and finishes that hold up in coastal conditions. Canal and waterfront blocks can carry extra engineering and approval steps, and we sort those up front.
